The Women and Newborn Drug and Alcohol Service offers medical and social support to pregnant women who are using drugs and alcohol.
Services include:
- counselling
- close medical monitoring during pregnancy
- regular ultrasounds
- information about the effects of drugs and alcohol on you and your baby during pregnancy
- information about drug and alcohol treatment options.
Part of the Women and Newborn Health Service at King Edward Memorial Hospital, the cost of the service is covered by Medicare.
