Outcare Health Services is a support service for men, women and their families following time spent in prison.
Services offered by Outcare include:
- counselling for drug and alcohol issues
- pre-release and outreach counselling for offenders and their families
- ongoing support following release from prison
- family mediation in relation to drug and alcohol addiction
- information about blood-borne viruses
- assistance in accessing free Hepatitus B vaccination and blood-borne virus testing
Men's Healing Program
Outcare has partnered with the Aboriginal Alcohol and Drug Service to offer a program for Aboriginal men who are being released from prison into the metropolitan area.
The Men's Healing Program focuses on reducing harm from drug and alcohol use, healing and strengthening the connection to culture.
