The Anawim Community Centre is a place for Aboriginal women to access a range of support services to improve their quality of life.
Part of Ruah Community Services, the Centre is available to women who:
- are aged 18 years and older
- earn a low income
- are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
- disadvantaged in some way.
The Centre can assist with:
- accommodation referrals/advocacy
- income and financial issues
- practical assistance
- parenting support
- drug and alcohol concerns
- mental health issues
- legal issues
- physical health concerns.
To complement on-site and visiting services, the Centre also works as an assessment and referral service to long term mobile case management services provided by Ruah Community Services and external agencies.
